The Research On China Urban Community Participation Model

This paper is an empirical research of China urban community participation model. The purpose of the paper is to clarify several interrelated issues through this research. First, are there several generally models of China urban community participation model? Secondly, it probes into the relevant factors or conditions of the form of China urban community participation model; Thirdly, there is a summary of China urban community participation model in the development trends and directions.Generally, in China academic, there are two levels about the research on community participation: One is of a purely theoretical analysis, this is the academic level, it is about literature research, this study mainly analysis from China's political reform and social transformation. The main subjects of background is political science and sociology. There are few scholars in other subjects; Another is the operational level research of government policy. The level is lack of oretical study. Most is the empirical investigation.Because of the development and growth in the "third department" or the "third space" of the government and the market's "domain", Chinese urban residents and other community stakeholders can participate in the space, it is also in this context, community participation has constant breakthroughs and development, Currently Chinese urban community participation appears four models: Mobilized, Residents-spontaneously, Community-oriented elite; Cooperative interaction. There are two reasons about the emergency of resident-spontaneously model: one is the existence of the third domain, the other is the existence of equal consultation mechanism. Also, there are two reasons about the emergency of community-oriented elite model, one is that traditional Chinese society is controlled by the elite and government, the other is that community residents agree with the elite because community elite is capable; Community participation in a mobilization -oriented model has arisen, it is the result of the government and community committees to strengthen the building of grassroots democracy. strengthen democracy in the community-building, community residents to participate in the interests of enhancing the satisfaction. Cooperative interaction model of community involvement occurred, it is the result of mutual game of interests. In the basis of the above analysis, this paper concludes that the urban community participation will be more toward the development direction of the multi-center, orderly,residents led, government cooperation, and social intermediary organizations to support.
