In the premise of understanding its foundation, creativity and development, this paper elaborates the essential education functions of competition mathematics. Based on the above, this paper carries on the dissection to the middle school new curriculum. Then we can have a clear understanding in the inevitability of the development of students and talents. In the meanwhile, it will make us realize the necessity of strengthening mathematics elementary education and developing the problem solving theory.From the perspective of the competition mathematics, it analyzes the contents in the textbooks of Jiangsu Educational version. And it clears off the connection between competition mathematics and conventional mathematics. Providing a lot of practice, this paper also narrates how to teach the textbooks of Jiangsu Educational version well by making use of the knowledge of competition mathematics. In the process of absorbing the content novel of competition mathematics, the study of questions, and the creativity of methods, teachers should think the design of the questions, seek the junction from the connections of questions, design the questions from and outside class and get to the root of a matter from the origin of the questions.
