The new curriculum reform of basic education in China have brought about great changes and profound impact on education. The students begin to like studying and their comprehensive qualities have improved. Teaching in the classroom begins to convert from the traditional knowledge-oriented instruction to the modern development-oriented instrution.Teachers hold fresh ideas on education and teaching and their roles in edcuational activties have begun to alter.However, accompanied by further implementation of the new curriculum reform, some teachers feel it much harder to give a class, while the students feel it a mega burden to take up the class. The new curriculum is facing awkwardness and perplexity. In defiance of this phenomenon, goals of the new curriculum can't be realized, and it will get the teachers in ennui with their work. As a result, teachers and students, the "consumer"of the curriculum, will be the "squanderers" of the curriculum. It will be greater use doing research into puzzles and conundrum in implementing the new curriculum, especially the teachers' adapablitiy to teaching of the new curriculum. It will be of grand help not only to realize goals of new currilculum, but also to improve the implementation of new curriculum so that reconstructuring school culture could be sped up.It is not practical and of considerable bias that if we do research in the adapatability to teaching in isolation under the background of new curriculum from perspective of teaching theory and make it known. Only from perspective of the theory of curriculum, on the base of grasping the nature of the elements of curriculum implementation and carrying out research in the current state of those elements, can we provide the verity and premise for the theoretical research.The research has mainly employed the distinctive and fascinating qualitative research methods. The author tries to sense the feelings, attitudes and values of the object so that he can explain the living stories and its meaning of the object. On the other hand, literature research method is also emploved, which promotes to look uo related literatures rapidly so that we can find out what we have researched roundly. The method of literature in this research is to affirm to the historical gistm, comprehend the current situation and grasp the trend of the research.FX primary school in Xi'an is my research locale andâ… entered into the research locale in September, 2006. What I did was to attend Chinese, math and Engish classes in Classl, Class2, Class4 on every Monday, Tuesday and Thursday morning. 6 teachers, my research collaborators are teaching chinese, math and English respectively. And Teacher Z is the only teacher that teaches English from Classl to Class4. The wayâ… collect materials is to attend classes according to the timetable and take an immediate interview after classses when possible.The author states that teachers are adpating to the new curriculum ideas, but their routines are contrary to ideas of new curriculum reform; Autonomic, inquiry and coopreating modes of learning are being accepted and gradually becoming the major learning stytles of students in interaction between students and teachers; It is still unconscious for teachers to adapt to the developmental requirements of students, which is far away for the teachers to do autonomically. Factors affecting the teacher's adaptability are complexed, which are restricted by two aspects of factors. Teachers by themselves are subjective factors, while school organizations are objective and situational factors.
