The neo-curriculum logos of our country emphasizes "studyuseful geographical feature for life" and "train thegeography attainment as a modern citizen". Modern society isbeing in information times, it is increasingly popular to havecontained the graphs system of rich information andinternationalization. This paper is closly to connectgeography teaching material, has selected plenty of teachingexamples about geography graphs systems, has combined fully thepractice of geography teaching of author for many years, hasdiscussed how to train students' graphs reading ability closlyconnecting life needs and improve geography attainment ininformation times.This paper divides into 5 parts totally:The first part is foreword, has elaborated researchbackground, current research situation, theoreticalfoundation and research method mainly.The 2th is the requirement concerning graphs readingability in middle school geography neo-curriculum, has setforth the composition, character and role of graphs systemabout geography teaching material in middle school, hasdiscussed the connotation and composes of geographical graphs reading ability under the neo-curriculum logos.The 3th part is the analysis and investigation on thepresent situation of map reading ability about middle schoolstudent. Investigation shows that most students nowdays do notform the habit of solving actual problem voluntarily withgraphs system in life, lack basic graphs attainment.The 4th part is the approach training graphs readingability of students, also is the main part of this paper.Training students' graphs reading ability, firstly need tofoster a student to form the habit of loving reading graphs,then train students' ability of knowing graphs, the ability ofdrawing graphs, the ability of recalling graphs, the abilityof analysising graphs, ultimately form the ability of solvingvarious actual problem in life voluntarily with graphs system.The 5th concludes the article, and puts forward to theself-examination and suggestion of training students' graphsreading ability.
