Some researches into health education has been launched in biology teaching of junior high school, focusing on the aspects of nutrition, mental health, the reality in rural areas and so on. They stressed the relevant topics in biology teaching and received good results, but the process and method description were less, which make the rules impossible to follow.The specific ways of health education in biology teaching of junior high school are illustrated based on previous research in the paper presented here. In the light of "New Curriculum Standards Biological Materials" published in "People's Education Publish," and "Sanitation and Health" published in "Lingnan Publish," and according to the actual local Guangzhou, the original content of health education and the additional content based on biological knowledge are confirmed. And the flexible and diverse forms and methods of health education in biology teaching of junior high school are summed up based on the long and rich teaching experience of the author, which have certain reference values and practical significance for the vast number of biological teaching staff.Investigation and contrast methods are employed in the research. First of all, a survey for health knowledge, health behaviors and healthy attitude is conducted on freshmen in grade one of junior high school who never received any form of health education before. And data are obtained in terms of survey results. Then two classes are selected as experimental classes, and the other two are selected as control classes. Health education is implemented during the two-year biological teaching only in experimental classes but not in control classes. The same survey for health knowledge, health behaviors and healthy attitude is conducted on experimental classes and control classes two years later. Relevant data are also obtained based on survey results. According to the comparison of the two surveys, indicators of experimental classes which received two-year health education in biological teaching are significantly higher, and that of control classes have been improved, but the rate is relatively small, which once again confirms the implement of health education in biology teaching to play an important role in popularizing the health knowledge, cultivating good health habits, and improving health awareness for students.It indicated in the research that the addition of health education into biology teaching is not only feasible and effective, but also in favor of inspiring students the interest in biology to improve biological achievements, and making up the lack of course of "Sanitation and Health" because of overload lessons and teaching staff shrinkage.
