Researching Study(RS) is a new type of teaching method among which the Researching Study of Mathematics(RSM) under the network condition is one direction for future teaching development. The RS means that students, with the guidance of teachers, select a subject from nature, society and life and study it. This teaching method is an important approach for cultivating the creative spirit and practice capability of students. In Ministry of Education's Notice on Printing and Distributing the Course Plan for Fulltime Ordinary High Schools,"RS"has been listed as a compulsory course, which obviously highlights its importance. And the RSM can better arouse the studying interests of students and can develop the mathematics culture among them, which, therefore, helps them to form perseverant delving spirit and attitude toward science. The modern society is digitalized and linked by network. Network, especially the Internet, has got access into millions of households and even classrooms. The Internet has been indispensable for us and altered the whole world and will inevitably change our teaching modes and students'learning methods. In this article ,which is based on the Theory of Constructivism and that of Humanism, the author, through the concrete teaching practice of SRM under a network environment in nearly two years, concludes about SRM as the following,:1) the basic idea in a network environment2) the roles of teachers and students in SRM in such a condition3) some points worth attention in SRM in such a conditionWith these ideas, the author aims at offering some reference for the teaching methods in a network environment and for the present course reform.
