The primary education pattern means students only accept what the teacher teaches and answer what the teacher asks. As a result, students are always under a passive learning position. With the development of the college entrance examination, the change from let students grasp the information to inspect them to gain information and deal with information becomes necessary. And develop and improve the students'reading and comprehension ability in biology has become a focus of points which the biological teaching pays attention. So it is necessary that biology teachers in senior middle school should pay attention to training the students'reading ability.First of all, the paper introduced the essence of reading. It is pointed out that biology classroom teaching calls for developing students'reading ability, which based on an analysis on status quo of our senior middle school biology teaching. Secondly, the article explores ways of reading strategy implementation about biology teaching, which is based on information processing theory and the particularity of the biology course. And lastly, on the basis of this, the author offer concrete teaching case and summarized several questions which must pay attention in reading activity.The main objective of this research lies in: one hand it indicates the value of carrying out teaching reading in senior middle school biology teaching. On the other hand, it can offer some reference for reading strategy implementation. The author attempts to provide some instructive reference for biology training reform in the future. The significance of carrying out biological teaching is as follows :(1)It reflects the basic concepts of subject education. It is also establishing the position of subject of the students' studying and developing . (2)teaching reading is a revolutionary reform of traditional biology teaching .In contrast with the traditional biology teaching , reading teaching is the contact cooperation between teacher and student .In this kind of teaching ,the center of teaching material was broken ,the students' growing up and developing will be the aim. Teacher and student will mutually share the knowledge ,the experience and the intelligence.(3)It reestablishes the traditional teacher-and-student relations and transforms the authoritative and submissive relations between teacher and student .It emphasizes that the teacher is the organizer and guider .
