The Research Of Undergraduate' View On Money: It's Structure And Characteristics

In the present age, Market Economy developing very fast in our country. People attend economy activities more and more. The View of money has been an important factor to impact peoples' mentality and action. How about college students' View of money? That's a important question for discussion. Research college students' View of money is the external requirement of education on college students' psychological health; it can enrich the Research of The Psychology of College students and The Psychology of Money; it also important to education on college students' moral character and psychological diathesis.The study procedures are as following: from theory analysis to tool development, to investigation and statistics, to explore characteristics, then to hypothesis validation. Based on literature analysis and the inventory survey, we design the college students' money view scale, and they we define the connotation by factor analysis, and analyses the characteristics of college students' money view .We can draw the following conclusions from this study:1. The scale of college students' money view has fine reliability and validity. It can be used to test the money view of college students.2. College students' money view is a hierarchy including eight primary factors (existent value, enjoyment value, relation value, development value, occupant desire,earn means, consume mode and consume orientation), two secondary factors (money invaluable and money behavior view) .3. On the whole, there are significant differences between different genders, grades and major. Boys' scores are higher than girls', boys attach more importance to money than girls and more material; juniors attach more importance to money than freshmen, sophomores and seniors, seniors are most material and attach more importance to development value of money in all college students; the students majoring in arts are attach more importance to money. Students which come from country are most traditional on money behavior view; students which are non-only-child attach more importance to relation value of money than only-child and only-child are more material than non-only-child.
