Normal education is a kind of specific education which cultivate and improve the teachers for the basic education.It was established in modern world,accompanied with the increasing demandof teachers for basic education . Since the emergence of normal education,it takes the function of providing certificated teachers for basic education. Normal education in every country has not only guaranteed the quantity of trained teachers, but also the quality of the teachers since the 20th century, especially World War II. Gradually, normal education or teacher education has become a hot topic in educational research.Russian normal education has a long history and has traveled a lasting flexural way, from the first normal school attached to Moscow University which founded in 1779 to the consummate and developed education system.during Soviet Union This thesis tries to examine the trace of the development of the Russian normal school from the clue to the historical aspect, and summarize its strongpoints and shortcomings as well,in order to provide help for the develop of our normal education.Besides the intruduction and the summary, the article includes five parts.The first part discusses the initiative and accomplishment of Russian normal education (from 1779 to 1917). It is about the school teachers before the normal school was established, the background and the process of the senior and higher normal education, the constituting of school rules, the all levels of normal education's coming into being and the shape of normal education system.The second part concerns about the reform and improving of Russian normal education (from 1917 to 1945). It mainly addresses the development of Soviet Union's normal education from the October Revolution to the period time of the Second World War. This part introduces the exploration in 1920s, expansion in 30s and adjustment of normal education during the Word War Two.The third part deals with the development and advancement of Russian normal education (from 1945 to 1991). It focuses on the comeback and reconstuction of Russian normal education after the Second World War,and concerns the developmeng to normal education influenced by all times of education reform's in Soviet Union since the 1950s.The fourth part is about the transformation and consummation of Russian normal education (from 1991 up to the present). The reform of train-goal of normal education, its pattern and curriculums is discussed in this part. Also it includes the tendency of the development of Russian normal education.The fifth part tells us the advantages and disadvantages of Russian normal education. Having a history of 200 years., Russian normal education has obtained great achievements and gives us a concerning lesson. This part aims to providing a reference to the development of normal education in our own nation by giving a summary about the success and shortage on Russian normal education.
