When history entered the 21st century, human society has entered a fierce competition in the new area, the traditional language courses have beocme increasingly imcampatible with the needs of the times, the new curriculum standards—the "full-time language courses compulsory standards ctrial versionl," promulgated the new standard in the nature of language courses and a curriculum comept, content outlooks, Evaluation has profound innovation, New curriculum to promote a strong, they are bound to challenge the traditional role of language teachers. This essay studies the role of language teachers in the new curriculum reform, change, and explore ways to change the role of language teachers, language teachers in the new situation, meeting the requirements of the times and adapt to the mental and physical development, the successful completion of roles to help provide a teoretical conversion.The essay is made up of seven chapters. Chaper 1 deals with what the question is and what the aim of the research is besides the method of the research and the theory the research is based on. Chaper 2—7 is the main body of the essary, where the writer thinks the function of the teacher used not to be definite according to the characterics of the subject of Chinese and the demand of the reform of new courses. After thinking over the limits of the functions of the Chinese teachers and what the reform demands, the writer summarizes the changes of the function: First, we will change the teacher — cenetred form into the student—centred one. Second, The teacher shouldn't carry out teaching simply but create teaching. Third, The teacher shouldn't only practise teaching but research it. Foruth, The teacher shouldn't only judge the students but encourage them. Generally speaking, it is impossible for the teacher to change the teaching behaviour in a short time.On the bads of analysing the education background at home and abroad and Chinese-teaching in Middle-schools, the researcher tries to seek for the way and method of Chinese-teaching exchange roles of techers:Firstly to realize the goals, create the outer atmosphere of the Chinese teachers' exchanging roles, build up and promote the system of growing of Chinese teachers by strengthening the further study and updating the major standard, create good psychological and working situations for the teachers' development and build the developing appraisal system of teachers.
