In the current student evaluation research, more people study the macro level evaluation of students, and focus on formative evaluation and summative evaluation, relative evaluation and absolute evaluation, but often ignore microscopic evaluationof students and the details of evaluation-----the most frequently used language ofevaluation in the educational activities. However, the seemingly ordinary language of evaluation is always having an influence on students. The language of evaluation of classroom instruction refers to the twinkling, impromptu and instant language used by teachers to evaluate students' learning behavior in the process of classroom teaching, including audio language(spoken language) and silent language(body language). The language of evaluation of classroom instruction is the whole exhibition of teachers' teaching wit, verbal skills and educational intelligence, reflecting teachers' culture background, personal charm and true love of their students. The language of evaluation of classroom instruction is an effective means of control used by teachers during the course of classroom teaching and also an important inter-activity between teachers and students throughout classroom teaching. Its universal nature and impromptu characteristics not only continuously influence learners' self-expectations and self-awareness but also have an indirect impact on their own value judgment.Having scanned the literature date at home and abroad, the author finds that there are few achievements of research on teachers' evaluation behavior, especially on teachers' language of evaluation in the teaching process. The existing study has addressed teachers' evaluation behavior only from a certain side or from a certain angle, lacking a system of research on teachers' evaluation behavior, a comprehensive description and analysis. So far many contents and problems concerning teachers' evaluation behavior have not been found. Exactly speaking, many research studies, especially at home, are just teachers' personal experience and lessons summarized from teaching, which is lacking in rational knowledge of teachers' evaluation behavior. Therefore, this is where the difficulty of this study lies, meanwhile, it illustrates the value of research topic. In order to have a better understanding of some problems emerging in the use of evaluation language, this study is to make a survey and analysis of evaluation language used by most of classroom teachers and do some research into those positive and negative effects on students that the language of evaluation of classroom instruction often have. In this way, this study is expected to enable educators to be aware of the importance of teachers' evaluation language and give teachers some strategic advice on how to improve the effectiveness of classroom instruction evaluation.
