With the rapid development of computer multi-media and network, the globe is stepping into the information era. It is important for us to promote the modernized educational technology and carry the quality-oriented education to execution. Using information technology to teach is considered to be a penetration point, which has been paid great attention to by many teachers. By researching and doing them, it will be great important to develop individual and creative of students. However, there are still many problems affecting the reasonable application of information technology in senior high school physics teaching to be solved. The problems include: emphasize technology and ignore concept; emphasize modern media and ignore common media; emphasize hardware and ignore software.This article has a discussion about how to use information technology to teach physics in high-middle school. It has four part.The first part gives us an introduction to the definition of information technology. According to the existing situation, many problems appearing in physics teaching are raised.The second part number up the psychology and pedagogy theories used in information technology assisted teaching.The third part analyzes the principle of information technology.The four part, with the help of the theories presented in the third chapter, it is stated that how to have a try in information technology assisted teaching.
