Reading is one of the ways to absorb culture, obtain knowledge and recognize the world. So it is called "the source of wisdom". Teaching of reading is the base and nucleus in language teaching. To some extent, it is titled "the root of language and literature, mother of learning and foundation of education", because teaching of reading is the key to decide the quality of language teaching. It's on the top of four abilities of language and literature. The 21st century is an era of information. Developing of information technology keeps knowledge and information increasing .The speed of spreading and updating become quicker than ever. This makes higher demands to everyone's reading ability. But in reality teaching of language and literature has become a bottleneck to restrict developing of teaching of language and literature. Keeping teachers' activities as the centural task, neglecting students' main function, focusing on teaching of knowledge while despising cultivation of ability and making language and literature class, oversimplified, stylization and mechanization is common in teaching of reading.It is of great significance to propose teaching of reading based on whole apperception according to the demand of information era and present situation in our country. For achieving the reading effect of raising students' reading ability and language nature, teaching of reading based on whole apperception especially emphasizes entirety, that is, to achieve the aim of effective reading in whole reading. Of course, the whole reading is not students' simple self-reading, but it's a kind of reading under communication among teachers, students and text, and it's also under the organization and guidance. In teaching of reading, only when the whole feature of reading activity is stressed, can we achieve the aim of effective reading. So teaching of reading based on whole apperception is a conception, which emphasizes a particular aspect of mastering and understanding the whole text in teaching of reading class. This conception pays more attention to the whole text, controls the text in a commanding position from macroscopic view, focuses on sorting out logic relation of the text inside, understands main idea of the text and masters' pith and marrow of the text. It adequately embodies students' main position, awakens students' power of understanding, cultivates students' language sense and masters students' ability wholly. It can also let students realize reading ability which is in favor of their development, so that can raise students' ability to recognize, judge, handle and absorb information and savor artistic feature, then stimulate students' development wholly. |
