New English Course Standard (experimental draft) declares the listening teaching purposes (imitating pronunciation and intonation, training an instinctive feel for the languages and acquiring and dealing with the information) and basic techniques (distinguishing the pronunciation; mastering meanings; listening to the key words; understanding and executing the referring language; understanding the main ideas; making sure to the development sequence and logical relationship among matters; foreseeing; understanding the aims and attitudes of speakers; evaluating the content of listening; mastering the deep meaning of paragraph). Under the requirement of new courses, elementary English listening should be facing a challenge. This dissertation elaborate the status of elementary listening teaching ,and then find out the reasons ,finally find out the necessity of re-arrange the listening teaching methods on the basis of'Go for it'characters. As a result, this dissertation is trying to use the method of task-based teaching model which is proposing by Go For It to design class-based task teaching, and then arranging the after-class homework which is task-based. At the same time, it can compare an experimental class to an ordinary class for research and then make a statistics to analysis. Hopefully, it could be providing the theoretical and practical reference on the junior English Listening Teaching under the theory of new courses standards.
