This study was purposed to investigate present health education in college students in Jiangxi high colleges by a series of investigations, intended to found a practical model according to the characteristics of mental, physical development and the features of high education, furthermore, to satisfy with the need ofculturing new and compound talents.No.1 Investigation : investigate the outpatients service in Jiangxi normal university in one year, the results suggested: the case of the patients was related with nature condition, life environment, individual life habits and study pressure, meanwhile, also accord with the characteristics of mental and physical development, the rule of occur of illness in collective life.No.2 Investigation: applying self-made questionnaire to explore the popularization and the demand of health education from the perspectives of contents of health education course and the knowledge of health. The conclusion suggested: the number of grade 2 and 3 students accepting the health education is increase significantly compared with grade 1 students. (p≤0.001), the need of knowledge among grade 2 and 3 students is more equilibrium compared with freshmen (p≤0.001 ). Meanwhile, the demand and understand of health education in different groups in college students is different. In the area of behavior of health, compared with freshmen, grade 2 and 3 students pay more attention to the effect of the construction of diet nutrition, intercourse and exercise on mental and physical health, however, all of students lack of controlling capacity of harmful behavior.No.3 Investigation: investigated mental health of 6587 students by applying SCL—90. The results indicated, the factors of somatic and fear in Jiangxi college students is higher significantly compared with the average of national level, and the other factors is lower remarkably compared with the average level of national students (p≤0.001 ). The factors of force, intercourse, depression, antagonistic and bias were higher significantly than female students (p≤0.01; p≤0.001) .No.4 Investigation: verified the effect of schoolroom teaching on the knowledge of health education. The same major students are divided into two group: controlling group and experimental group. We offered the paper including the knowledge of basic theory, health behavior, prevention of epidemic diseases and sex education in the end of the term. The results indicated there are different significantly in understand of the knowledge of health (p0.01)Based on the present investigations, we intended to offer a integrated configuration practical mode, which emphasizes on the characteristics of college students and advantage of college education, the feature of practical education based on student-oriented mode, the process of pluralityization teaching methods, and whole-health promotion as target.
