A Research Paper On "Informal Organizations" And The Effect Upon College Student Education

With the development and deepening of educational reform, the role which higher education plays in national education is enhanced constantly. And higher education faces more challenges raised by the society, required to concentrate more on the quality-oriented education of student and to cultivate the high-quality talents for the socialist modernization. To achieve this goal, the primary task is to strengthen the moral, cultural and psychological education on the university students. Under the circumstances of enlarged enrollment, logistics reform, and "market-directed" employment policy, it is an important issue on how to arrange student management and education scientifically and systematically.Informal organizations are common practices, which exist by various forms in any formal organizations. As a unit of the society, there are kinds of informal organizations (also informal groups) in universities, having important influence on student education and management. The student education workers should take the advantage of the informal organizations.This thesis lays its first effort to a brief analysis on the origin and the significance of the subject, defining the basic conception of the informal organization by using the multi-disciplinary theory of the organized behavioristics. Secondly, the thesis analyses the forming, characteristics, positive role of the formal organizations, negative consequence, and the impact on student management and education. Based on the characteristics and function, the paper also observes the informal organizations in microcosmic and dynamic views. Finally, after a scientific study on the materials, this thesis deepens the management tactics of the informal organizations, pointing out the problems that should be noticed so as to improve the student management and education.
