Along with the economic development and China opening up to the outside , particularly after joining the WTO, the demands to English talented person is more and more high, English, as one of international languages is playing more and more important role.Over the last 20 years the English teaching in middle schools has made great progress, the scale of teaching is expanded constantly, and the teaching level is improved continuously, teachers' quality is increased substantially etc. however, in the traditional " teacher taught, student heard" instill type English teaching, few students have the opportunity of practicing and exchanging English. It is very difficult for students to take part in the class activities, the atmosphere of the class is depressed. This not only neglected the training of the ability of the student language application but also disobeyed the rules of the language learning. Now, new English course standard put forward a kind of new teaching theory called cooperative learning, it regards the cooperative group as the basic form, making use of the interaction of every kind of factors of teaching systematically, each with students of different levels of ability, use a variety of learning activities to improve their understanding of a subject. Each member of a team is responsible not only for learning what is taught but also for helping teammates learn.
