As the trend and tendency with double attributes, economic globalization is the product of both the development of productive force and the expansion of western capitalism. It brings positive as well as negative influences upon socialist China. In the time of economic globalization, the patriotic education of college students is a brand new project with strategic significance. As a part of ideological and political work, what economic globalization brings it more is impact. This dissertation, approached from the patriotic education of college students per se and the characteristic essence economic globalization, analyses the connotation and characteristics of patriotic education of college students, the impact of economic globalization on patriotic education of college students, the significance to strengthen patriotic education of college students against a background of economic globalization, the current situations of patriotic education of college students, and reasons for the existing problems concretely and systematically.
