On The Status Quo Of The Ideological And Political Qualities Of College Students And Educational Strategies In Chongqing

The ideological and political qualities of the college students are closely related to the future and fortune of our country. Growing up with the burden of College Entrance Examination, cotemporary college students are pushed forward to the routine of examination by families, schools and the society. It is the successful model for most students to go into a good college, hunt for a good job or study abroad, which inevitably demonstrate the one-sideness of emphasizing the intellectual education while belittling the moral education. Given high scores in examinations, a student is viewed as a good one regardless of how well he is schooled in personality, psychology, mentality and spirit. In addition, the healthy development of the contemporary college students is heavily affected by the negative factors of corruption and crime, especially by the good and bad information on the internet in recent years. Therefore, as places to cultivate students with both of the high intellectual and moral qualities, colleges must take on the heavy task and responsibility to educate students from the aspects of ideology and politics.This paper, via questionnaire and personal interview, is aimed at conducting a deep and systematic study on the status quo and problems of the ideological and political education of college students. On the basis of the study, this paper puts forward the highly practicable and valid strategies for education, with the hope that these strategies can offer some beneficial references for the ideological and political education in our school and other colleges.
