Research On Relations Between Male Juvenile Delinquency And Family Environment, Life Style, Mental Health And Intervention Strategies

The juvenile delinquency is the most serious social problem in the countries all of the world. Besides the lack of legal knowledge, the "wild mentality" is another important reason of juvenile delinquency. The mental health of the delinquents is poor generally, which embodies the existence of interpersonal relationship sensitivity, depression, hostility, body symptom and so on. The researches on mental health and relevant factors can clearly show the influential mechanism of juvenile delinquency and delinquency mentality. These researches can supply theoretical basis and coping strategies to juvenile delinquency prevention.Based on the synthesis of the reseaches of China and foreign countries,the existing researches have got some findings.However, the aspects are limited and the contents are not comprehensive enough.Especially the exploration of poor mentality of delinquents are not so deep.All these problems do not fit in with the aggravating situation of juvenile delinquency. For these reasons, the physical and mental health condition test, the Family Environment Scale (FES-CV) and the Mental Health Test (MHT) were tested in 302 male delinquents. A contrast was done between them and 296 male middle-school students. The life style, family environment and mental health of male delinquents were explored, and the relations between these factors and juvenile delinquency were discussed. The influences of family environment and life style on mental health were explored, and the shaping mechanism of poor mentality of delinquents was discussed further. The findings were as follows:1. As far as mental health is concerned, the crime rate of juveniles who show high study anxiety, lonely tendency, body symptom, terror tendency and impulse tendency is relatively high.2. As for the family hard environment, the crime rate of juveniles from country family, several-children family, poor family, single-parent family, parents' low schooling family, parents' unstable or farmer occupation family is relatively high.
