This study presents the developing theme of exploring education, including its concept, nature, as well as the models and designing of it. With applying the concept of this new teaching mode, we carried out the experiment on the students who was learning chemical elements and compounds, chemistry calculation, and chemistry experiment based on the old textbook (PEP). They were conducted to learn from the view of the basic concept and theory of scientific exploration. Then we found that students had improved the interests of study, the intention of asking questions, self-confidence, and the sense of co-operation each other. With the design and practice of exploring education used in the teaching of chemistry in junior high school, we can get the conclusion that exploring education could be a new challenge for modern teachers in the teaching models.
