"Researching-study", an organic part of the fundamental education courses system in China, is the achievement of this new era, having been a unique part in the current education system. Introducing some of the viewpoints of System Theory, the purpose of this paper is to explore the researching-study which is related with the fundamental education courses'reform in the process of promoting quality-oriented education. This paper covers the following contents: definition of researching-study, characteristics, development course, and general processes based on teaching practice.Researching-study is the incubator of creativity for high school students. Efforts in this field are to foster creative capacity among students through enhancing their capacities of investigating, researching, information processing as well as new concept building. Biological subject takes a larger fraction in researching-study courses. How can we adopt it in biological teaching of junior high schools? This paper makes positive and pragmatic exploration of junior high school biological teaching in the aspects of the goal and suggestions for this teaching, types of this subject, operating process and detailed rules of appraisal.
