Nowadays, with the development of computer technology, computers contact allkinds of the life of people to the greater and greater extend. Super markets, banks andcommunications can't run without computers. So in a sense we assume if thecomputer will be made use of in the test for basketball items, the test will make agreat step forward in science, nicety, efficiency and intelligence. So how to make fulluse of the developed computer technology to speed the test for basketball items is aquestion that needs to be researched thoroughly and to be solved urgently.Before 2003, the test for basketball items included running up to touch, dribblingout and home, shooting basketballs three spot per minute and polytechnic tests. Thetest accuracy is the base of the carrying on tests scientifically, fairly and just. Increasewith examinees every year, such goal can't be reached totally. On one hand, artificialmeasurement need a lot of manpower and material resources and is slow to test, butalso it has too many human factors. So it is apt to produce the unfair phenomenon. Onthe other hand, the test lasts too long time because of the low speed and the testrequest the examiners be all attention, so the amount of labor is very big and theexaminers tend to be tired. So basing on the causes above, it is also unavoidable tomake mistakes for artificial measurement. In order to improve this kind of state, thetutor has developed the microcomputer-touching-test instrument, the microcomputerdribbling time-recorder and the microcomputer-shooting-basketball counter, and theseinstruments were used for sports college entrance examination of 2002. It not only hasreduced the unfair phenomenon that the human factors cause but also reduced theamount of labor greatly, and it has received very good response. It has laid thefoundation for test smoothly, fairly, justly, scientifically.But since 2003, the test for basketball items changed, and Basketball shootingand dribbling speed test combined into a test project. If testing with the two suits oforiginal equipment, we can't synchronize the two suits of equipment and so mistakeswill be made unavoidably. To meet the needs of this change, we have improved thetwo sets of original equipment and combined them into a set of instruments, namelythe present basketball comprehensive tester, which made the test more scientific. Theset of instrument is a whole that synchronizes timing and counting and avoid artificialmistakes.The system is composed of the basketball comprehensive tester, recordingsoftware of shooting and dribbling scores and computer LAN, and it adopts theclient/server computational model. It selects Windows NT Server 4.0 as operatingsystem for the server and Visual FoxPro 6.0 as database management system of theserver and regard Borland Delphi 6.0 as developing instrument of application programfor the client. It adopts 89C51 MCU as the core-controlling device, which makes upof the intelligent data collection end with corresponding interface circuit and sensor.The characters of it are application progress interface friendly, easy to learn and use,strong security of database and convenient to operate.This text explains the design philosophy, main function and characteristic of thecomprehensive tester of basketball mainly, and it focuses on the technology, principleand implementation method involved in the course of designing. Chapter one mainlyexplains the development foundation of the comprehensive tester of basketball, andthe purpose is to state the feasibility, necessity and importance of the comprehensivetester of basketball. Chapter three explains the principles and the implementationmethods involved in the cause of programming the MCU of the comprehensive testerof basketball. It explains the systematic hardware design philosophy andimplementation method from such respects as systematic hardware design, shoot andcount transducer and keyboard circuit design , etc . Chapter four mainly explains thewhole design philosophy of software of the basketball comprehensive tester, and it describesprogramming thought and implementation method from such respects as flow of the procedure,main program, keyboard function procedure, showing subprogram, keyboard scanningsubprogram and communicating with PC subprogram Chapter five explains the technology andthe implementation methods involved in the course of programming PC of the comprehensivetester of basketball mainly. It describes the programming thought and implementation methodfrom such respects as writing down and keeping and typing procedure, data safe procedure, andinterface program with examinees' database, etc.This system combines the computer application in sports test with the concretetest demand and updates as the test demands change. The system has fully utilized thecharacteristics of high-speed, high-efficient and intelligent of computers. Thecomprehensive tester of basketball offers powerful technological means for faircompetition in examination and selecting outstanding talent just, and it receives highevaluations of leaders, experts, news media, examinees, parents and various circles ofsociety at all levels. The comprehensive tester of basketball has been tested andappraised in 2005 June. The research of the system has important theoretical value forpromoting physical-education test in the direction of science and information, and it isa case in point that applying computer technology to teaching, and it is the concretemanifestation of educational technology development. The system can also be used totrain athletes, which can make train scientific and standard to promote trainingperformance. So it has wide application prospect and high popularization value.
