New course system has got greater breakthrough and innovation in the aspect of course function, structure, content, enforcement, appraisement and management than original course. According to the new course idea, there will happen great changes for the teaching strategy of teachers, therefore, the way of teaching for teachers and learning for students change too. By making some research, educators discover that learning relies on accept-type study and probe-type study. They supplement each other, and exist side by side. But our basic education has emphasized too much to accept-type study and neglected the important role of probe-type study such as observation, practice, experiment and investigation. As a result, it has restricted the development of students' character. This course reform first passes through the adjustment of course structure, and makes the students' time for activity and space guaranteed in course. Also, by advocating the changes of the way of presenting the study contents in the new course standard, that is, changes on the teaching method to establish the leading role of students, students can study more initiatively.Viewing from the goal of new course reform, this paper has analyzed the characteristic and the new course standard of the chemistry in junior middle school. It is believed that in course reform, there are two main points: as executive person—chemistry teacher and chemistry teaching method in executive process must take great changes. Chemistry teacher first must strengthen their self-quality. On the other hand, the law of teaching reform is essential in course reform system. This paper also focuses on the theoretical basis of constructive teaching modes by applying constructivism to new course standard. The traditional teaching method and constructivism teaching method have been compared here. The advantages of constructivism teaching method in course reform have been analyzed and its guide meaning to the chemical teaching method in junior middle school has been discussed. The author thinks the teachers to enforce the new course must establish new teaching method and renew their educational theories in time. By setting up the effective teaching mode, the initiative and various learning ways can be advocated. And the classrooms can be transformed into a main place for quality-oriented education where the innovativespirit and practical ability can be realized. The theoretical application of constructivism in the chemistry of junior middle school need to be paid more attention to! In combination with the program research the author has made in the last two years, and with the educational experience of being engaged in a forefront teaching, the paper finally focuses on the practical examples of applying the modern philosophical theory—constructivism, and points out some of the author's specific practice and the feasible research of advanced teaching method in actual application. In the end, the author points out that applying constructivism as a guidance theory and constructing the new classroom teaching mode are the inevitable tendency of chemical teaching method reform .Nowadays.
