In recent years, The International Science Educational circles strongly propose (initiate) the integration of HPS(history and philosophy of science) into science courses of middle & preliminary school, in order to promote students' understanding about the nature of science, help forming correct conception of the nature of science, develop their science spirit and ability of creation., which is a significant task and teaching problem of Science Education. Since the emergence and rising of historical philosophy of science from 1960s, history and philosophy began to integrate with each other. The issue about Nature of Science has already been an important objective of science education, as well as one of the core parts of developing students' science accomplishments. According to numbers of surveys, there are several existing problems about conception of the nature of science among scicence teachers of middle & preliminary schools in our country. Teachers' misconception of the science of nature would definitely influence students' understanding about the science of nature and their development of science spirit and creative ability. Therefore, it is practically significant for the reform of science curriculum to do research on the integration of HPS into science curriculum.The article is written in purpose of doing a research on integration of HPS into Science curriculum through the main line that how to promote students forming correct conception of the nature of science from four aspects. First is doing a comprehensive summary about educational value of HPS based on literatures, which is the premise of improving understanding. Secondly, all-around specific analyses on this subject are made including the HPS content in science curriculum standard, the content of science history in the science curriculum of middle&fundamental schools , a analysis on the conception of science literacy and the nature of science, and the discourse analysis on the integration of HPS into science curriculum. Thirdly,emphasis is made on the instruction Model of the integration—"do it by hand" method based on the analysis of typical HPS instruction model used in foreign countries, and therefore making case teaching design in order to put HPS into teaching practice. Initial conclusions about teaching effect of integrating HPS into physics teaching practice are made through summarizing investigations and interviews. Finally, the article discusses some existing problems related to the main subject and further considerations about enforcement of HPS course in science teachers' training programs.
