Changes And Thoughts On The Traditional Ideas Of Yi People In E-Mount Since The Reform And Opening

The traditional culture of all the people in China, with distinctive characteristicsand special development process, is the significant part of Chinese culture andprecious wealth. Because of peculiar geographical location and human environment,the cultures of all the peoples are reserved well in a long time. Globalization hasbrought not only the spread and communication for the people, but also damage andcomedown of its own culture.The reform and opening policy in the process of modernization has broughtpremise and drive force for the changes on traditional ideas of Yi People in E-Mount.Along with social changes, ideal change is necessary, which has become thenecessary way for ethnic development. Meanwhile it is very important for ideachange. As for a deep-level culture, ideas are not easy to change. However, only canthe changes on ideas bring the fundamental cultural reform. Traditional ideas havebecome conventional from generational pass, and showed in the daily life everywhere,which provide practical foundation for the research on ethnic cultural developmentform ideology, and give the essential knowledge on the changes and development ofethnic cultural changes, and are helpful to grasp the opportunities and changes on theethnic group way of life.The paper, using the researching method combined with field research anddocument analysis, chooses a representative and typical ethnic minority group anddistrict to pack up and research the vivid field materials. Based on the religion, ethic,education, marriage and family etc., with the summary and analysis on the traditionalethnic ideological changes since the reform and opening, the characteristics areshown as the coexistence of luscious tradition and distinctive modernization, and ofdiverse consolidation and wide conflicts. Furthermore, from the analysis onmicroscopical and macroscopical environment, the reason and realistic feasibility onthe traditional ideas of the Yi People in E-Mount are explored. Finally the paperpoints out that the changes are along with the complicated and rough modernizationin China, and the social root is in the economic and social changes in E-Mount.The traditional ideas of Yi People in E-Mount have changed greatly, and themodern ideas such as science, democracy, equality, competition and economy and soon are widely absorbed. Meanwhile, there are many conflicts and non-balance in itsholistic development, which partly represent the cultural development status of mostethnic minorities with the same condition. Through the analysis on E-Mount case, thepaper brings the common thoughts on it and raises the idea that the non-antithesescoexistence between tradition and modernization, native and foreignness, thepolymerization of many cultures will renew, improve and perfect ethnic cultures. Theidea changes should follow social development, and be rooted in the ethnicconvention, the changes should maintain cultural individuality and diversity, andrespect ethnic choice as well, especially a great attention should be paid to thedevelopment and the strengthening of ethnic group ideology, which is the way toresolve the comedown of ethnic traditional culture, to maintain ethnic cultural energyand sustainable development.
