Leisure Lifestyle Of Eatery Peasant-workers

Using data from 556 restaurant waiters in Yangyuan community of Wuhan city, this article describes the peasant-workers'leisure lifestyle. Based on the theory of Socialization, this article analyzes the determinants of their leisure lifestyle, and then intends to find the general model of Continuous Socialization about leisure lifestyle. It is shown that the peasant-workers'leisure time is not abundant, and also most of them only take a few low-level activities in their spare time. But most of them are satisfied with their leisure life. Moreover, it proves that these peasant-workers hold some modern attitudes towards leisure. It proves that quantity of leisure time and leisure activities are mainly related with the elements of Continuous Socialization, especially work unit. However, both of the results of Primary Socialization and elements of Continuous Socialization affect the subjective appraise about leisure while the leisure views are related with the results of Primary Socialization. Based on the above-mentioned analyse and discussion, the article presents the feature of peasant-workers'Continuous Socialization. Work unit is the main socialization element, and the family and the community's functions wanes, and education level is the important determinant.
