Recently, in the field of educational theory and practice, educational action research and teacher's professional development have become the fashion problem. What's more, to realize teachers' school-based professional development has grown to be a new starting point to change traditional teacher's education with more steps of reformation of basic education curriculum. Educational action research, as a new scientific research method, has been paid more and more attention to by instructors and teachers ; at the same time, the ways and the approaches of realizing teachers' professional development have been effectively researched on theory and practice.Following the approach of basic educational school-based curriculum, I try to find an available way for the teachers' professional development with the combination of educational action research and teachers' professional development, which is to make the teachers researchers. They can get self professional development by carrying out the educational action research in their daily teaching career. Based on its historic development, I try to analyze some special points and rules of educational action research , illustrate the effect educational action research has on teachers' professional development ,and point out several problems that lie in the limitation of school-based action research and their causes so that I can put forward some personal opinions about how to promote teachers' professional development.
