Young teachers are the major forces to push the reform and improve the development of higher education. The building of a strong contingent of university faculty should lay stress upon how to establish an effective driving mechanism so as to bring young teachers' initiative and enthusiasm into full play.Starting from the universality of those young teachers, this paper divides their developing process into different stages. Accordingly, the corresponding measures and driving mode are discussed in the light of their characteristics and demands during these stages. After elaborating the fundamental driving theories, it is proposed that a driving mode of young teachers in universities should be established on the basis of analyzing their life cycles and characteristics in the respective stages, while adapting to the current situation and solving the existing problems in the realm of driving mechanism. In addition, taking the driving goals and rules of the mode design as well as the universality of young teachers into consideration, the discussion is held on the topic of three developing stages of those youth which include Role Adaptation, Active Development, and Optimum Creation.During the first period-Role Adaptation, the key points of driving should be the encouragement of the sense of value, goals, emotion, and training. In the next phase-Active Development, the priority of driving should be the respection, promotion and competition of encouragement. When it comes to the last part-Optimum Creation, the emphasis of driving should be focused on the encouragement of achievement, honor, together with the participation of management. Lastly, the corresponding safeguarding measure should also be taken in order to help the driving mode play its role.The viewpoint of this study has the realistic significance and research value to the teachers' management and the driving mechanism of young teachers in universities.
