In view of the crucial position of the textbooks in school education, the author of the thesis tries to carry on the comparative researches on the Chinese textbooks from North, South. East and Central China (except Western area), though the researches on the textbooks in China are scarce and tedious at the present, Author is making a breakthrough in "Chinese Book"--Book One of Grade 7 based on the four editions from four areas mentioned above. At first, the author made an assessment upon the features of these four sets of textbooks, then summarized their general characters and individual characters. In comparison, the textbooks edited in Shanghai reveal the "charms". Firstly the books focus on the students themselves. Secondly the books reflects the conception of three dimensional targets. In research, the author analyzed the textbook development tendency and problems in China compulsive education at the present. At last the author put forward ideal curricular viewpoint, knowledge viewpoints and cultural viewpoint of Chinese textbooks.
