In the background of the New Curriculum, teachers mainly focus on how to lead students to construct their learning approaches. In this essay, the features of signification of different learning approaches are expatiated and main research genres of home and abroad are introduced. The author introduces the background, aim, research innovation, reference review and research principles of the project. Combined with the educational actualities, the necessity and feasibility of transforming students' learning approaches are analyzed, the core proposition and implementary strategies of learning approaches are discussed. The author adopts the means of case studies, experiments, investigations and interviews to study how to form independent, cooperative and inquiring learning approaches in the process of geography teaching and learning in junior middle schools. The author analyzes the current educational actuality the research process, gets the conclusions in practical research, indicates the significance of transforming the learning approaches, reflects some problems and brings forward some suggestions. The author also dissertates the features and significance of the three learning approaches respectively and analyzes author's typical cases. The research reveals that the new kind of learning approaches can promote students' learning, improve students' learning effect, foster students' abilities to cooperate, innovate and practice, summarize the main error zones of transforming in middle school geography teaching and learning, and also put forward the main strategies of constructing new learning approaches.
