It is inevitable for middle school students to make mistakes in learning mathematics and solving mathematical questions. This is natural, however, they must correct mistakes, try to avoid them, enhance their abilities in correcting mistakes and decrease their chances in making faults as possible. From the survey on middle school students, based on which the paper catalogs kinds of errors and the reasons why they happens. Furthermore, the paper proposes some practical strategies to help middle school students avoid their mistakes, thus improve their capability in solving mathematical questions. The whole thesis is divided into four parts:The first part shows the sketch of different types of errors that the middle school students make, the significance of differentiating these errors and some of the literatures about errors; The second part catalogs errors systematically and separately through cases; In the third part, the paper exposes the Chinese traditional education style contributing to the situation of reality; In the fourth part, various practical techniques in helping middle school students avoid mistakes as possible and effectively control the appearance of mistakes are considered, therefore their ability is improved in solving mathematical questions; Finally, the paper concludes and forecasts some proposals to do next.
