Feminism And Contemporary Sociological Theory

This is a thesis of feminism. The feminism research, which didn't raise much attention in theory field, has always been regarded as some kind of bi-disciplinary research, therefore, it seems that there is no science or theory which the feminism research can belong to. Actually, there is a close link between the feminism research and sociology, as many important contemporary sociological theories have close connections with the feminism research. In recent years, the feminism research is entering the center of sociological theory field gradually. And this change is worth paying attention to, because it reflects the variety of sociological theory and shows some elementary respect to the feminism research. Undoubtedly, sociology provides a wide field of vision for the feminism, meanwhile, the feminism research also brings some new content of research into sociology field to enrich and deepen sociological theory.This thesis makes some research on the source of the word--"feminism",the developing periods of the feminism practice activities, the primary sects offeminism, as well as discussing on the question--"whether feminism is a kind oftheory" and so on. And it focuses on the analysis of the connections between feminism and many important contemporary sociological theories. This thesis intends to make some attempts to help the feminism research enter sociology field and combine with it so as to make the feminism research more systematical and the sociological theory more rich and various.
