Hidden curriculum is the non-academic experience that students obtain silently and imperceptibly. It exits in the family, the school and society. In the perspective of gender, hidden curriculum has an obvious tendency towards gender distinction. It attaches greater importance to the female than to the male. The tendency influences the information of the students' sense of gender distinction, esp. the female students, or even influences the female students' confidence in their own gender distinction. The factors in hidden curriculum that exist in the family, the school and society all have a latent tendency towards gender distinction. In the family situation such factors include parents' inflexible impression on their children, their educational expectation of the children, and the education in the early stage. In the school situation such factors include textbooks, interaction between teachers and students, and school authority. In the social situation these factors are television, papers, magazines, books and the distribution of social professions. Because of those factors female students are self-biased against their gender. In this thesis the author puts forward three strategies or suggestions from the standpo int of school education. 1) Reveal hidden curriculum, making it known to the public, with the purpose of preventing its negative influence restricting the de-velopm ent of the students. 2) Cultivate the teachers' and students' sense of gender distinction by developing the course of gender distinction education with charact-eristics of the particular school. 3)Take strategies preferable to female students, s-uch as training t he female students to be aware of the causes of their success, divi-ding the students into c lasses and groups according to sex, and constructing favor-able and harmonious situation s for potential curriculum, improve the educational environment outside the campus, fully developing the latent potentialities of both the male and female students, and helping the m to gain happiness and freedom fr-om education.
