A Study On The Current Situation Of The Traditional Field And Track Race In The Key Schools In Fujian Province And The Development Strategy

The thesis has investigated and analyzed the status of the traditional track and field races in the key schools of the provincial level by way of documentary research, investigation, and specialist interview, etc; and measures have been taken to solve those problems found out in this investigation.The findings show as followed: the managerial system is out of date; the general quality of the coaches is rather poor; the ability to study needs to be improved; the conflict between the training and study is the most outstanding problem; more constructions are needed in the aspects of the training ground and equipments in the backward regions; more attention should be paid to the sports talents by the school leads; financial difficulty, the bottle-neck factor, restricts its development; s athletes in some schools haven't got enough opportunities to compete; there aren't enough athletes, especially the excellent ones sent to the special sports team.As such, departments of different levels in charge of these should strengthen the construction of the traditional track and field races in the key schools of the provincial level. The management should be strengthened; the managerial system should be perfect in legal way; more money should be put into; the significance of the traditional races should be propagandized; more support from every walk of life should be mobilized for the traditional races; the general quality of the athletes should be improved in all-round way especially in the perspective of research and training ability; more attention should be paid to settle the conflict between the academic work and training; more opportunities of competition should be offered to the athletes.
