Guangdong province isone of the foreland areas to be open and reformed in China. Its economy level keep ahead of the other areas of China, and Zhujiang Delta is the first areas of Guangdong province in the sense of economy. Abundant economy strength of Guangdong province is the foundation to develop the education, and also provide advantages to develop the soft volleyball in Guangdong province.By applying the research methods of questionnaire, interviewing discussion, literature reviewing, logical reasoning and statistic analysis, the dissertation made the all-round surveys on the development of soft volleyball in the north, west and east of Guangdong province, Zhujiang delta and traditional areas of hard volleyball. It is shown that: the development conditions of soft volleyball in different high schools of Guangdong province are not identical. In the aspects of fields, equipments, teaching, amateurish training and competitions, traditional areas of hard volleyball is better than Zhujiang Delta, Zhujiang Delta is better than other areas. Soft volleyball is comparatively well recognized by the PE teacher of high schools in Guangdong province, but the majority of high schools haven' t the PE teacher who is accomplished in volleyball, in addition they have low ability in scientific research. In the aspects of the PE teachers who are taking part in the cultivation of soft volleyball, traditional areas of hard volleyball is better than Zhujiang Delta, Zhujiang Delta is better than other areas. At the extent of student' s fondness to soft volleyball, the schoolgirls and schoolboys of junior high schools and the schoolgirls of senior high schools haven' t basically difference, but the interest of schoolboys of senior high schools is distinctly lower than other students of high schools.
