It's a long history to study the problem-solving. The substance of training the ability of mathematics study is to train the ability to solve problem and creative. How to promote the students' ability of problem-solving, this is an important problem that should be discussed in the current mathematics teaching reform. On the basis of studying the problem-solving and probing teaching, the project fixes attention on carrying out the three critical aims of being active to study, being good at study and being capable of solving practical problems, in order to promote the efficiency of mathematics teaching. In the paper, the author aims at the disadvantage in the traditional mathematics teaching, putting forward to using the probing teaching to promote the students' ability to solve problems. In accordance with this, the author puts forward the following teaching strategy that should be obeyed in mathematics teaching.1. Give the students the study object. Help them establish the problem scene.2. Make the students experience the problems actively by themselves and probe them independently.3. Make the students study co-operatively and evaluate with each other what they acquire in the process.4. Make the students carry on reflective comments and form the congnition.5. Make the students do changeable practice and sort the knowledge out. This experiment gives the following conclusion: The teaching strategy which promotes the problem-solving by probing teaching can improve the study interest of mathematics. And this strategy enhances helpfully to train the mathematics scores in junior high school. It is proved that this strategy can improve the efficiency of mathematics teaching in the middle school.
