The new reform in the chemistry field is going on with the issue and being carried out ofThe Standard for Chemistry. "Learning to reflect and learning to cooperate "is the basicdemand for every chemistry teacher. So, the capacity of the teacher's reflection will influencethe ability to understand further and to conduct the new course. Through reading documents and combining my own understanding ,in my opinion, Achemistry teacher 's reflection capacity should include two aspects :how to reflect about theteaching and how to carry on the research into chemistry. Exactly, it embodies five ways:consciousness on problems, culture on theory, responsibility, practice on teaching, and skillsof reflection. After we have investigated and analysed the reflection capacity of the chemistry teachersin the city of Jilin ,I discover that the teachers have weak consciousness of reflection, in thisway, they are in bad need of being developed and improved.. The reasons for this include notonly the school environment and the teachers themselves. Based on these facts, this article focuses on the problems of the teachers themselves, andresearch into the practical strategy about how to improve the capacity of the teacher'sreflection.. They are as follows: to improve their own consciousness, to increase theirconsciousness on problems,( for example, a list of asking themselves and surveys on thesituation in the class.) ,to strengthen their theory learning, to promote their cultivation , toimprove their reflection skills and to improve their responsibility.(eg, reflecting our teachingdesign, records after class, visiting the other teacher's classes). What' more, this essay refersto the basic patterns of reflecting their teaching and improving their capacity of research onchemistry teaching., and doing research into their own according to their school conditions. This article is based upon the current teaching facts, in order to provide some practicalstrategy on how to improve the teacher's reflection abilities. and help some teachers learn toreflect their teaching correctly, thus they will adapt to the need for their professional teachingand conducting the new curriculum.
