| Nowadays language input has been focused on in foreign language teaching, From the study principles, the language competence is based on a large amount of input. Compared with other ways of learning, reading is the ideal way for us to take in language. But in what model do we need to take to get information and improve the reading efficiency? Perhaps this is the point the teachers have to pay much attention.The research on the Budapest International secondary school students reveals that there in no big difference between Chinese students and Hungarian students in analytic reading. It indicates that both the Chinese students and the Hungarian students have similar command of language foundation. But in global reading, distinctive difference emerges. This research suggests that different cultural background, different thinking ways and different learning styles can greatly influence the reading models of students. In language teaching, the teachers have to take all these factors into consideration.The paper includes five parts; Firstly, there is an introduction to the research background and the value of this research; secondly, the definition has been given to some basic concepts mentioned in the passage; Thirdly, an investigation has been conducted to find out if there are some similarities or differences between the Chinese students and the Hungarian students in reading models.
