On The Establishment Of General Education Curriculum In Chinese Normal Colleges And Universities

General education is one of the ideals of university education. The implement of education depends on courses; general education is not an exception. It is a process from ideals to reality. As the colleges and universities of teacher education, the establishment of general education curriculum in normal colleges and universities has commonness and particularity comparing with that of colleges and universities. The aim of this paper is trying to probe into the establishment of general education curriculum in Chinese normal colleges and universities.This paper contains three parts.Part 1: Under the ideals of general education, it discusses the conclusion drawn from the course estabushment and comparison of normal universities in different countries (USA and Japan) and areas (Hong Kong and Taiwan), and analyzes the current course establishment of Chinese normal colleges and universities.Part 2: It emphasizes the gist and patterns of the establishment of general education curriculum in Chinese normal colleges and universities from the perspective of theory.Part 3: It tries to construct the system of general education curriculum, which adapt to Sichuan Normal University.
