As the popularization of the Internet and the rapid development of E-learning, international experts of educational technology, based on the summary of Internet education practice experiences for the recent few years, give a completely new concept of Blended Learning (BL for short) based on its original basic concept. That is to combine the advantages of traditional learning methods and those of E-Learning. Only in this way, can the two methods make up for each other in order to gain the best learning effect. That is the common cognition of international experts of educational technology and it consists with the reform thread of the integration of informational technology and curriculum in China.The Internet can support extra-curriculum learning at different paces and the interaction among students and the Internet has positive effects on fostering the capabilities of these learners on critical thinking and problem solving, etc. BL which combines on-line class and traditional class can help the learning of all-day on-campus college students. To those learners who have grown up in traditional instruction environment, if they are able to adjust to this new learning method and learning feature, is directly related to the learning strategies of the learners.Instructional design aims at optimizing instructional effects and it is the course of systematical design of each factor in instructional system. How to carry out BL method in undergraduate curriculum, which is the learning process blending the face-to-face traditional teaching in class and on-line learning, and how to do instructional design and organization, is the key content of this topic. the research thread of this topic starts from analyzing instructional process to construct the BL instructional design mode mainly consisting of leading-in curriculum, learning activities, learning support and instructional evaluation. BL emphasizes on the leading status of students and guiding effects of teachers, and learning activities in BL courses. We will rethink and complete this instructional design mode through the research of the course called "Multi-media technology" and the problems occurred in the process of carrying out BL.
