Based on the theories of modern linguistics behaviorist and the second language acquisitions, the writer makes an analysis about the common pronunciation errors of some Lanzhou primary school students in English learning. For helping them in correcting the errors, the author tries to research and discuss some new teaching methods.From years of teaching practice in the middle school and primary school of Lanzhou, the author finds that the English pronunciation is the most serious problem in this area. For not learning the English pronunciation well, many students of Lanzhou primary schools deeply feel it difficult to learn English. Some students therefore lose the confidence and interesting in learning. So, the English progress of LZ primary-school students is behind schedule. The study in the primary-school and middle-school are the most important basement for the students in forming their correct English pronunciation. By losing the interest in learning, their further English development will be greatly influenced. The English has been taught in LZ primary schools for 5 years, but how to teach and learn the English pronunciation more efficiently are still expected to be researched.With the description and analysis on the different features of English and Lanzhou dialect phonemes, the author points out the difference and similarity between the two language speeches systems. From the pre-test and the post-test, the different English pronunciation errors of Lanzhou dialect district students are found. After the data statistics and analysis, the author testifies that some pronunciation errors of Lanzhou students in learning English are greatly influenced by Lanzhou dialect. For improving the students' English pronunciation, teachers can use Contrastive Analysis and the natural practice training.Chapter one introduces roughly the aims, significance, the theories and instrument used in this research; Chapter two recommends the literature review; Chapter three presents the characteristics of Lanzhou dialect speech; Chapter four makes the comparison of English and Lanzhou dialect speech with their differences; Chapter five carries the error analysis and Chapter six gives the conclusion.
