A School Grade Group is the most basic managerial unit that is made up of teachers of the same grade and several parallel classes in schools of a larger scale and that takes on a grade's teaching and running tasks. It has been demonstrated that, the management of a grade group is one of the most important layers of school management. And, as an entity, it is playing a more and more significant role in a school's interior management. There is no doubt that it has displayed its advantages and cannot be substituted. With the deep going of the elementary education, the outlook of the grade group management will be broader and broader. School should establish and perfect the management mechanism of the grade group and take full advantages of its efficacy, hence strengthen and optimize the whole management of the school. Yet, we should see that there major differences between different schools do exist in terms of its framework, scale, management quality and approach. There are large quantities of problems remaining to be solved.The article, by means of follow research, presents the whole procedure of the grade group management of a provincial model high school, and expects to explore the methods, principles and regular patterns of the grade group management, thus to improve its managerial level.The whole article consists of three parts:In the introduction part, the article has bounded some concepts in relation to the grade group, teaching and research group, classes and so forth. In the meantime, it has analyzed the background of the production of the grade group management and the present situation of its development, thus posed the cause, foundation, significance, difficulty and the research target and methods.In the developing part, to begin with, from management of teaching aims and programs, teaching contents and organizations (including management of teaching activities, researches, examinations and resources) as well as management of teaching approach and quality, the article has separately stated the teaching managerial tasks of the school grade group. Second, it has made clear teachers managerial tasks in a school grade group from the aspects of teachers' employment, daily management, stimulation and evaluation. Then, it has illustrated management of students in terms of that of convention, phases, self-management and psychological guidance. At last, on the basis of summing up the result of school grade group management, the article has introspected its merit and demerit.As for the conclusion part, the article, From macro angle, has defined the significance of the grade group management in that of the school, and put forward the principles and methods of it and finally pointed out some problems which are remaining to be made sure and settled.
