To research the effects of "HiLo" on bone of growing rats, the following indexs of rats being trained by "HiLo" or in normoxia for nine weeks was determined and compared:serum Ca(2+), serum Pi, serum ALP, serum TRAP, urine HOP , urine Cr,bone specific gratity(the ratio of bone wet weight to bone volume),bone mineral density (the ratio of bone dry weight to bone volume),bone ashen density((the ratio of bone ashen weight to bone volume).The results of this study indicate that normoxic train and hypoxia may increase serum Ca(2+), serum Pi and serum ALP,and may reduce serum TRAP, urine Ca(2+) and urine HOP,but that "HiLo" may reduce serum Ca(2+), serum Pi and serum ALP,increace urine Ca(2+) and urine HOP.From the examinning to three BMC indexs , conclusion was found that normoxic train and hypoxia may increase the bone specific gratity, bone mineral density and bone ashen density,but "HiLo" reduce the three BMC indexs.The extent of reduction was positively correlated with the exercise intensity,consequently, normoxic train and hypoxia may promote bone formation of osteoblast and restrain bone absorption of osteoclast,and was beneficial to growing rat's BMC increase,but the effects of "HiLo" was contrary to normoxic train and hypoxia.In conclusion , "HiLo" was not fit for young athletes.
