If we want to make breakthrough on the track and field, the only way we can do is that we have to focus on the youth talent cultivation. On the basis of previous research on the amateur track and field training, in order to get the real condition of Amateur track and field training in Beijing, we interview the experts, investigate the coaches. We focus on the three aspects: administer, talent finding, practical training. The result is followed:1 .Beijing Amateur sports school usually took the municipality match as the most important task, that will restrict the training level. Moreover, the match is hold in Beijing for Amateur sports school is limited, just two times in a year.2 . There is a Cultivation System for Beijing Amateur sports school track and field coaches, but it seemed that the efficiency is not evident. It should focus on improving coaches' ability by change the direct affiliation between the cultivation and the title of a technical post; ameliorate the content of cultivation; take diversified teaching form.3. The number of new players were registered every year hold the line, but the difference between the track and field item is evident: the players on sprint and middle-long distance is overabundance; the players on triple jump and race walking is a little while; the players on 400 meters hurdle and decathlon or heptathlon mainly come from the players they have bad performance on 100 meters hurdle and good performance on all-round.4. The talent-selecting in Beijing Amateur sports school just stay previous level which based on the coaches experience, there is no tight relation between talent-selecting and talent-selecting research, there is leak lay on the talent-selecting administering. Some indexes on talent-selecting kept unchanged since 1993. 5. There are many questions appeared on the practical training in Beijing Amateur sports school, the main is that the coaches can not comply with the scientific training.
