Physical education teaching principles, which generalize and sum up the experience in the P.E. instructional practice and reflect the objective laws of P.E. teaching, are the basic requirement and criterion that must be followed in P.E. teaching. Understanding correctly and implementing physical education teaching principles can make P.E. teachers further master and employ the objective laws of P.E. teaching, which is of great significance to speed-up the teaching process, to upgrade the teaching effect and to complete the P.E. instructional task. With deeper development of P.E. teaching practice, people's improvement in understanding physical education teaching principles and the accumulation of teaching experience, physical education teaching principles become more substantial and perfected. The new ideas in the new round curriculum reform and new P.E. and Health Curriculum Standard bring great changes to educational practice. With accordance to this situation it is quite necessary to reflect the traditional physical education teaching principles and on this basis complement and . perfect physical education teaching principles to conform to the educational ideology in modern education reform and to adapt itself to modem physical education teaching principles in the current P.E. teaching practice. Meanwhile, the author hopes that these commonplace remarks could attract more valuable opinions of the same occupation and more counterparts to explore it together.The research topic is the sub-topic of the key research topic of Ministry of State Education: The Traced Experimental Research into the Curriculum Reform of Primary Schools' Physical Education and Junior High Schools' Physical Education and Health in the Compulsory Education Stage, whose number is DLBO10787. By means of literature materials, interviews, questionnaire, and logical reasoning, the research attempts to employ comprehensively the ideologies like quality education, health first, life-long education, personality education,creative education,uses the results of studies in other subjects for reference, especially the viewpoints from sociology, teaching methodology, curriculumism, pedagogy and psychology, analyzes the disadvantages of the traditional physical education teaching principles from the theoretical layer by way of analyzing and contrasting the developing tracks of instructional principles of teaching methodology subjects and P.E. and complement and perfect the following physical education teaching principles: the principle of health, the principle of personality, the principle of interest, the principle of initiative, the principle of life-long physical education and the principle of multi-assessment.
