Intellect economy will become the dominant economy. Its innate character is to bring forth new ideas. Its fundamental power is to bring forth new ideas of knowledge. But the core of bringing forth new ideas is man, man's creative knowledge, man's creative sense, man's creative spirit and man' s creative abilities. All of which lies on the education to cultivate man with creative quality .In China's education, the change from test- oriented education to quality education is the reflection of the economy times. Creativity education is the core and soul of quality education. So the education of bringing forth new ideas has found a good "helper" for carrying out quality education and promoting it, which can bring along the development of all sides of education.Geography is a science of studying geographical conditions and the relation between human activities and geographical conditions. It has two remarkable characteristics of being regional and comprehensive. And it also has the common nature of social subjects and natural subjects.Geography teaching in middle school aims at cultivating the students in the following aspects- enable the students to know about the earth enviroment and its development; to gain basic geography skills; to develop geography thinking abilities; to have the basic way and techniques of studying and looking into geography problems; to acquire scientific outlook, population outlook, resources outlook, enviroment outlook and sustained development outlook.The main way to carry out creativity education. is classroom teaching. So it is very important to form an open geography teaching mode, which can adapt middle school teachers to the new education situation and can implement creative teaching.In this essay, the author theoretically elaborates the connotation of creativity education, the age certainty to carry out creativity education,the theoretical base and practice principles. The author also puts forward his conception about geography classroom teaching mode in middle school. With the help of his own teaching experience, he also gives some suggestions on the creative teachers basic abilities. He hopes that this can be a reference to the people of the same trade and give some enlightments to the study and practice of creativity education.
