A ginkgo, is a special product of china It belongs to gymnosperm which appeared in Jurassic period of Mesozoic era ouer 200,000,000 years ago.Inaddition, it is now a kind of the oldest tree all over the world, surreving only in China after the glacier of the Quaternary period, and it is also called Activated fossil all through the ages Gingko leaves contain such main chemical composition as brass, terpence, a small amount of phenet, alkaloid, terpence and ketone and trace element Many experts and scholars at home and abroad have made a large number of studies on the pharmacological effect of gingko leaves and scored great successes The present research has shown that the pharmacological effect of Gingko leaves lie mainly in improving the function of blood vessel, accelerating blood circulation (including microcirculation ),eliminating free radical, promoting metabolism.resisting PAF,protecting organism and resisting lack of oxygen and so forth. This thesis, according to the pharmacological effect EGB,aims to observe andresearch the change of rats' sporting ability by making exhausted swimming exeperiments on rats after the rats take EGB for 4 weeks, and go further into the effect that EGB has on improvement of rat' s sporting ability and resistance to fatigue, based on the norms ,mostin use on hemorheology, which offers reference to further exploiting gingko resources and oppering up the sports-training area where EGB is applied.
