A belief is a kind of firm theoretical viewpoint, a kind of ideological understanding of the nature and the society, a kind of spiritual prop to understand the world and change it, a kind of encouraging force for doing all kinds of activities, and therefore, it is sure to play an important part in human activities. It is teachers who bring education belief into practice, including all teaching activities and teaching reforms. Naturally, teachers' view or teachers' belief of education is sure to influence their teaching activities and finally their achievements in education .In addition, higher normal schools in our country are specific institutions for cultivate teachers, therefore, higher normal school education will produce direct impact on whole education, especially on primary school education, whether it is successful or not. As far as higher normal school education is concerned, teachers' belief of education is of great importance. Based on this consideration, In this paper a investigation research on current situation of educational belief taken by math teachers at higher normal schools was finally made and hopes this kind of investigation research is helpful to the development of mathematical education. This also is the main aim of this research paper. The research both in theory way and in positive way are mainly taken in this paper which including questionnaire investigation and statistical analysis etc.This paper is generally arranged in four parts.Part 1: A general survey including I) Research background -background study on the position of mathematical education reform and current situation of mathematical education in China; 2) Teachers' belief and its present study - historical review of the development of educational belief, teachers' belief and belief of math teachers'; 3) The values and aims of this paperPart II: The course of research - the body of the paper, including I) The theoretical bases for questionnaire design; 2) Questionnaire design; 3) Aims, subjects and fields of this investigation; 4) Feedback analysis of the questionnaire papers - all questionnaire paperswere processed by statistical software spss10.0 and the outcomes were analyzed theoretically for the final research result.Part III: Research result and discussion - give the final results and its' further analysis in theory. The above-mentioned result came from various factors, mainly, the factor of culture and history, the factor of "testing emphasis", the factor of normal school education; the factor of teaching mode itself and the factor of teachers etc.Part IV: Suggestions - based on the current education situation in China, the author gave some propose and suggestion on China's education, especially higher normal school education.
