The compulsory course of basketball is the main course of the physical education (PE) majors in Chinese colleges. The high quality of teaching brings the realization of cultivating goal of the PE majors. The technology in teaching basketball is the foundation above all. In this subject, the author systematically makes a precise analysis and comparison on the technology of compulsory basketball teaching for college PE majors (briefly basketball technology course) in 5 provinces (Jing, Hu, E, Xiang, Ye) in China, while a lot of researching methods are employed, eg: document, interview, tests investigation, mathematical statistics, comparison, logical reasoning etc. In order to make it better, the author discusses the advantages, disadvantages and the differences of structure of methodology of basketball technology course in relatively well梕ducated areas.By comprehensive comparison and analysis of basic theory of the structure of teaching methodology, the author points out that in Beijing and Hubei province there are more ways and better teaching methodology advantages than in other areas. Further, the author raises the key problem?in teaching methodology reform and conditional elements and puts forward 21 qualified teaching methods that might be employed in basketball teaching, which may improve the structure of basketball teaching methodology in China.
